Friends of Mossawa is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in the United States that serves as the sister organization of the Mossawa Center, amplifying its mission to promote the rights of Palestinian citizens of Israel. Our work focuses on raising awareness, fostering advocacy, and mobilizing support across North America for the Palestinian minority.

Our mission

We are committed to promoting the civil rights of Palestinian citizens of Israel, raising awareness about their struggles and aspirations, and advocating for their inclusion in peace-building and democratic initiatives. Friends of Mossawa works to ensure that the voices of the Palestinian minority are heard and understood in North America, building a foundation for solidarity and meaningful change.

Fundraise and Mobilize

We host events, campaigns, and initiatives to generate financial and moral support for the Mossawa Center’s work in Israel.

Why it matters

The Palestinian minority in Israel faces systemic discrimination and exclusion from critical social, economic, and political rights. Friends of Mossawa believes that advocating for their rights and fostering global solidarity is essential for creating a just, inclusive, and democratic society. By bridging the gap between North America and the Palestinian minority in Israel, we empower individuals, communities, and policymakers to stand in support of human rights and equality.

We believe that Palestinian citizens of Israel have the potential to be critical game-changers in the peace-building process and reconciliation. For decades, its role in the Palestinian national project has been thoroughly neglected by the international community. Now, in the face of ever more extreme Israeli governments, the Palestinian citizens of Israel present an indispensable progressive force in the region that ought to be fully embraced and empowered.
